Emergency medical staff transported a Merrimac teenager to University of Wisconsin Hospital on a Med Flight helicopter Monday morning after he was thrown from his truck in a one-vehicle crash.

After the woman handed a flight attendant a note saying something was hidden in her body, the crew feared a terror scenario and notified authorities. U.S. fighter jets were scrambled, and the plane made an emergency landing in Bangor, Maine, where the woman was arrested.

Care Flight helicopter officials and firefighters from local agencies worked together to practice in case of a real emergency Friday (May 11) in Eagle Nest.
