CANBERRA - A baking flow of hot air pumping across Australia has gripped vast areas of the continent in a heatwave that has driven temperatures into the mid-40s and sparked bushfires in two southern states.

SYDNEY: Increasing obesity has prompted an Australian state to seek larger planes for the country’s famous “Flying Doctor” service, ambulance and government officials said yesterday.

A woman was lucky to escape serious injury after her car rolled over in a country lane on Monday morning. The ambulance service was alerted to Kimpton Road at the junction of Tanyard Lane in Kimpton after a call was received stating that a woman was possibly trapped upside down.
