This week is EMS Week across our state and Tuesday, families and co-workers of the EMS personnel we lost last year came together to honor them.  Sidney Cummins reporting.

National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) week was developed to bring together local communities and medical personal in an effort to bring awareness to safety. It was also developed to honour the dedication of those who provide the day to day life saving services of medicine's "front line".

This week is Emergency Medical Services week and Wednesday is EMS day. Local medical residents got a firsthand look Wednesday at what firefighters and EMS personnel go through.
