North Central EMS recognizes National EMS Week, May 20 - 26, as an opportunity to honor the men and women who provide pre-hospital care and transportation to thousands of community members every year. This year's theme is 'EMS...More than a Job-A Calling.'

Back in March, Ruth Hathaway took a spill outside of her residence at the College Walk Retirement Community. At first, she didn't think it was a huge deal.

The EMS community is hoping people take a moment to thank their local EMS providers, first responders and fire departments for the challenging work that they do everyday.
