Arizona regulators on Tuesday gave the green light to Rural/Metro Corp.'s purchase of rival Professional Medical Transport, creating one dominant ambulance company in metro Phoenix.

Carilion Clinic announced that it will add a third medical transport helicopter to its Lifeguard fleet. This one will be based in Lexington. Carilion already operates two other medical helicopters - one in Roanoke and the other in the New River Valley.

An Allen Park Firefighters post Thursday afternoon says that at midnight Feb. 4 the city of Taylor will stop emergency medical services transport.
