California Shock Trauma Air Rescue has added a Beechcraft B200 Super King Air to its fleet of aircraft, said Jim Arthur, director of flight operations.
Scotland's two air ambulance helicopters have been grounded amid safety fears over the Eurocopter aircraft.
The Midlands Air Ambulance spent £6.026 million from April 2010 to April 2011. It received £5.32 million from charities, £640,000 from trading and other smaller sums.
