After two resignations, firefighters say they don't have enough staff to respond to all medical emergencies, especially during the day.

KENT—The Kent Volun teer Fire Department will celebrate Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week with a number of activities. The activities will conclude with an open house Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the firehouse at 28 Maple St.

Jamie Mott will graduate from Newton Fire/EMS’ rookie academy Friday. She is the first woman to graduate from the academy.
