Shrinking call volumes and growing payment delinquencies are driving some emergency medical services to scale back ambulance service in some East Texas counties.
CRIME: A shooting that occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 19. At around 9:30 p.m. police and EMS were dispatched to a parking lot in the 2000 block of Sam Houston Drive in reference to a shooting victim. Upon arrival, emergency officials found a victim who had sustained three gun shot wounds.
Economic hard times could force some East Texas EMS services to be cut back in areas where they are desperately needed.
