The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said yesterday that there are over 300 more Filipinos stranded in Thailand – on top of the 427 already identified by the DFA – who need to be repatriated from the troubled Asian country.
MANILA, Philippines - A special Philippine Airlines flight is set to leave early Monday afternoon for Chiang Mai, Thailand to fly home about 200 Filipinos stranded by the political turmoil there that has closed the main airports in Bangkok for nearly a week.
The MD-80 that took off from Kansas City International Airport carried about 120 passengers. Some were headed for Mexico, others to Central and South America.
